Anime fans are just a few months away from the release of “My Hero Academia” season 5. New trailers have also been released recently giving viewers more idea of what would happen next in the series.
‘My Hero Academia’ season 5 release date
A specific release date for “My Hero Academia” season 5 has not been announced as of this writing. But the broadcast of new episodes is confirmed to begin in spring 2021. That could be anytime between March to early June next year. Considering that the series has had multiple release dates in the month of April, it is one possibility for the upcoming episodes as well.
Another question left unanswered about “My Hero Academia” season 5 is its episode count. Except for season 1, all previous seasons had 25 episodes. The manga has a comfortable lead from the anime and it is also unlikely for the TV adaptation to encounter a shortage in source materials. With that, it is possible for the next season to also have the same number of episodes.
‘My Hero Academia’ season 5 spoilers: 1-A vs. 1-B
Looking at the teasers for “My Hero Academia” season 5, even non-manga readers can deduce that one of the major plot points in the upcoming episodes is competitive training between Class 1-A and Class 1-B. Obviously, these characters are not out to seriously hurt each other and the training will be done in a controlled environment. But that does not mean everything will go smoothly.
Based on what happened in the manga, students from both classes will demonstrate how much they have matured as aspiring professional heroes and how stronger they have become. Fans should also expect everyone to participate with extreme competitiveness in “My Hero Academia” season 5.
Villains will remain as one of the foundations of the show. Based on the original series, Tomura Shigaraki should be coming back in “My Hero Academia” season 5 and will continue to pose threat to the lives of the heroes and the citizens. Note that Shigaraki remains a main force even in the latest chapters of the manga, so he is not going away anytime soon.
