“My Hero Academia” Chapter 228 will be continuing the story of the Meta Liberation Army arc. It will also be employing yet another character development geared towards the series’ villains.
Author Kohei Horikoshi is intent on providing some background for these antagonists in an attempt to give each of them a power boost to keep up with Deku’s growing strength. Toga’s abilities have already been bumped as it’s been revealed that apart from being able to transform into someone else, she can also use their Quirk as well. Shigaraki’s powers have also been enhanced as he’s now able to spread his decay abilities from the initial target to proximal ones. In “My Hero Academia” Chapter 228, it’s expected that it will be Dabi who will be getting this power boost.
It goes without saying that fans are excited about this development and are highly curious about what Horikoshi is planning with the character. The previous release already hinted that “My Hero Academia” Chapter 228 will be having yet another deathmatch, this time between Dabi and an unknown character.
The only known thing about this upstart is his Ice abilities and the fact that he wears a heavy hood, the type that is being used by mountain climbers. There are theories, however, that are speculating this character may be one of Shoto’s older brother. Natuso, in fact. This is quite interesting since there are also rumors going around that Dabi is also Shoto’s elder sibling. If “My Hero Academia” Chapter 228 reveals this fact, the whole fan base is going to flip since this deathmatch will essentially be a brother against brother showdown.
While it’s highly unlikely that these characters are going to kill each other, this arc has proven to be quite dark, so it’s anyone’s guess what’s going to happen next. Whatever the case, “My Hero Academia” Chapter 228 will be having yet another fight and if the rumors proved true, then the claim that this arc is the best story of the series by far will be further solidified. As for its release date, the next chapter is slated to drop on May 17.
