Miranda Lambert and her Pistol Annies group performed that the recently concluded Country Music Awards (CMA) that took place on Nov. 14 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The trio’s performance was amazing and most talked-about on social media because they sang the controversial “Got My Name Changed Back” track from their latest album called Interstate Gospel.

Miranda Lambert together with Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe presented a lively stage performance when they delivered the crisp lyrics and awesome music in their own unique way. Although the petite singer said once that she will not name who the song was referring to, fans already concluded that she was talking about her ex-husband, Blake Shelton.

Blake and Miranda divorced not that long ago and their separation was quite bitter. This was because there were many controversies behind their split and infidelity was one of the most mentioned reasons.

Then again, the divorce song is actually applicable to another Pistol Annies singer as well because Angaleena is also a divorcee. She told The Associated Press that “Got My Name Changed Back” is a feel-good divorce song that is needed so they composed this track.

“We can say whatever we want together a little more bravely than we ever would alone,” Miranda added. “Our whole catalog has been about celebrating things that weren’t so positive and putting them in a humorous light.”

Now, the CMA was the most important awards night for all country singers and all of the big names in the field were present. Only one person was missing that night and it was Blake Shelton. Many assumed that he does not want to bump into his ex-wife or perhaps, he does not want to hear her sing a song that is obviously about him?

At any rate, Miranda Lambert lost to Carrie Underwood for the Female Vocalist of the Year award but she is still grateful that her songs are doing great and topping the charts. Lastly, aside from performing with the Pistol Annies, she also rendered "Drown the Whiskey" with Jason Aldean at the 2018 CMA awards.
