Unless someone is living in a place with zero access to the internet, everyone now knows that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are officially married. The news came as a surprise to their millions of fans that it was a little bit of a puzzle where the ceremony took place.
Luckily for fans who love knowing the details, documents related to Cyrus and Hemsworth’s marital union surfaced just after a day confirming where they actually got married. And it was not surprising at all to learn that the lovely event happened in Tennessee.
TMZ obtained a photo of Cyrus and Hemsworth’s reported marriage license taken from Williamson County, Tennessee dated Dec. 18 — less than a week before the wedding. The document contains the couple’s names, age, address, and signatures.
While the preparations leading up to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s wedding were kept under wraps, the couple did not wait long before they confirmed the news to their fans. It was Cyrus who first posted a series of black and white photos where she is seen hugging her beau while wearing a modest and gorgeous dress by Vivienne Westwood.
Meanwhile, Cyrus and Hemsworth reportedly planned to get married in their Malibu home. But the property, unfortunately, was destroyed by the recent California wildfires last month. Despite the devastating incident, it obviously made the couple’s relationship stronger and later prompted the singer to call the “Hunger Games” star her “survival partner.”
Since the Malibu house was out of the table, it is not shocking that their next best option is to get married in Tennessee. Miley Cyrus was born and grew up in Franklin, Tennessee. After getting back together with Liam Hemsworth in 2017, it was reported that she bought a 33-acre farmhouse-style property in the city.
“They had planned to get married in Malibu over the holidays when all of their families were together. After their Malibu house didn’t make the fire, they have been living at Miley’s Tennessee house,” PEOPLE was told.
Unfortunately, tabloids will not let this moment pass without spreading some rumors about the couple. More recently, a gossip going around that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got married in a rush because a baby is already on its way. However, it is best to take this story with a pinch of salt as neither of the celebrities involved confirmed this report.
