Europe's most important leader and Greece's largest creditor German Chancellor Angela Merkel assured that still a deal between Greece and Creditors remain possible if Greek government show the will to pursue reform.
- German Chancellor has always expressed her desire to keep Euro zone intact by keeping Greece in. However many of her colleagues at bundestag remain skeptic of the issue.
- Any kind of skepticism was shrugged off by the Chancellor suggesting single currency Euro presents symbolical unity which none other can give and Euro area integrity remains core issue.
Members of the Bundestag might have to be called for emergency voting if any new deal emerges on Greece.
In February German parliament had approved bailout extension, however few members voted against such. Economists believe many would oppose the idea of debt write off and fresh new money for Greece.
Today, European finance ministers are holding summit in Luxembourg and next week Thursday and Friday European leaders will meet.
The Euro is likely to remain buoyant in hope of positive deal, moving over to next week. Euro is currently trading at 1.141 against dollar.
