A tabloid magazine recently claimed that the life of the United States First Lady Melania Trump would be made into a movie. Furthermore, the source said several actresses, including Jennifer Garner, are being considered to take the leading role.
‘Alias’ alum to portray Trump in a biopic?
The rumor was first reported by Life & Style magazine through a source claiming that a movie centered on the life of Mrs. Trump is in the making. The biopic would purportedly cover Mrs. Trump’s life starting from when she was still living in Slovenia, her journey to become a fashion model, her and Donald Trump’s love story, and up until she becomes the first lady.
“There’s been a lot of interest in a movie or miniseries about Melania, and the role could be a game-changer for whomever lands the coveted part,” the source added (via Gossip Cop).
On top of these claims, the same source said at least three actresses are being considered for the titular role including Garner, “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara, and “The Royals” alum Elizabeth Hurley.
However, Gossip Cop was quick to dismiss Life & Style’s story, at least, in the case of Garner. A source close to the actress, who requested to remain anonymous, told the fact-checking news outlet that the mother of three did not receive such offer and will not star in the rumored Melania Trump movie.
Several loopholes to the report were also called out, such as the lack of any information on the production company behind the Melania Trump biopic. Gossip Cop also recalled previous stories ran by the same publication that did not pan out. These include earlier claims that Leonardo DiCaprio and Justin Bieber were to portray Bruce Springsteen and George Michael, respectively, in separate films.
Did FLOTUS skip the G20 Summit?
On other news, the G20 Summit happened last week in Osaka, Japan and people following the news have one question — where is FLOTUS? Mrs. Trump’s absence was highlighted when a photo of the world leaders’ spouses was posted online.

While the public awaits for an official word on why Mrs. Trump skipped the assembly, netizens came up with their own theories. Some Twitter users jokingly suggested that maybe it was FLOTUS who took the spouses’ photo. Another commented she might have preferred to spend time at the spa than be at the political gathering.
