SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 12, 2017 -- QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ:QUIK), a developer of ultra-low power multi-core voice-enabled SoCs, embedded FPGA IP, display bridge and programmable logic solutions, announced today that its CTO and Senior VP of Engineering, Dr. Timothy Saxe, will present at the 15th Annual International System-on-Chip (SoC) Conference on October 18-19 in Irvine, CA.
Dr. Saxe’s presentation will discuss how a sea change involving multiple factors is creating the opportunity for embedded FPGAs (eFPGAs) to transform SoC designs. Part of this change is being driven by a renewed understanding that Moore’s Law is really about delivering ever-increasing levels of functionality cost effectively. Dr. Saxe will show how eFPGA technology embedded in SoCs is a powerful way to achieve that goal by addressing the obvious key device development challenges such as increasing mask costs, verification costs, and decreasing visibility into future needs. He will also show how this technology helps address some non-obvious challenges such as market consolidation.
