A second cinematic trailer for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” has been released in anticipation for the video game’s impending release.
The Verge observed that the trailer does not provide any details of the game’s features or specs. However, it does feature the game’s characters and the story element, which include squadmates and a look at the enemy. It was also noted that the squadmate characters can also double up as love interests in the game.
The action roleplaying game’s second trailer, as noted by Matt Peckham for TIME, appears to pay homage to a couple or more space exploration movies.
“The narration sounds very Battlestar Galactica, spotlighting an interstellar ship with "20,000 souls adrift at sea." Sea, of course, being a galaxy far, far away — namely Andromeda, situated some 2.5 million light years from Earth… The "humans versus nature" shtick gives way to a presumptive villain who sounds like Jeremy Irons off a three-pack-a-day habit. There's definitely a Star Trek-ish vibe here, too, and not just because the protagonist has Chris Pine's cerulean baby blues,” he wrote.
“Mass Effect” Andromeda” is the latest offering of BioWare, which is due to be out on March 21. Available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game versions for PS4 and Xbox One can be pre-ordered on Amazon for £47.49, while PC version is at £39.99, PC Advisor reports. The PC version is retailed at the same price on GAME, but will be pre-ordered at £49.99 for PS4 and Xbox. All pre-orders will receive freebie content such as Deep Space Explorer Armour, a Nomad skin, and Multiplayer Booster DLC packs.
