Lee Min Ho’s Army Discharge Date Is Fast-Approaching; Will 'Heirs 2' with Park Shin Hye Finally Happen?

Lee Min Ho

Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye teamed up for the first time in “Heirs” and more than five years later, fans are still clamoring for a sequel. In the last two years, the follow-up that fans have been wishing for did not happen simply because the actor is serving in the army. However, he will be discharged on April 25, so will “Heirs 2” finally happen?

There are rumors that Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye are doing “Heirs 2” once the former returns to his civil life and it was implied that the drama will possibly come out before this year ends. One thing that made this claim sounds legit is the fact that the fans petitioned for the second “Heirs” drama to be produced but, there is still no word from multi-awarded writer Kim Eun Sook or Hwa & Dam Pictures thus the second drama installment is not really confirmed up to now.

Despite this, fans speculated that Lee Min Ho might have hinted that he will be doing “Heirs 2” with Park Shin Hye once he returns from his military duty which is just two weeks away. In a report by Celebeat, the publication alleged that the actor made a promised to come back with a “great project” that everyone assumed to be the much-awaited sequel to the 2013’s “Heirs.”

The outlet said that Lee Min Ho promised the fans, "I'd like to come back healthy and heal them again with a great project.”

Then again, it is important to note that everyone will only get a definite answer if Lee Min Ho is doing “Heirs 2” with Park Shin Hye after he is discharged and able to talk about the drama with the producers, writers and everyone else involved.

Meanwhile, as mentioned before, Lee Min Ho will be discharged on April 25. He will return to civil life after serving as a public service worker at the Suseo Social Welfare Center in Seoul. His release from the army is a few weeks early due to his outstanding service.
