“Last Man Standing” season 7 episode 4 is titled “One Flew into the Empty Nest” and it will show Mike (Tim Allen) and Vanessa Baxter (Nancy Travis) welcoming a foreign exchange student into their home. The pair will get the chance to showcase their parenting to a foreigner but it might not go smoothly.
As suggested on CarterMatt, the foreign exchange student is a Chinese national and they will bring her/him in because they really feel they can do a good job. The synopsis for “Last Man Standing” season 7 episode 4 reads: “When Vanessa wants to board a foreign exchange student, Mike must work overtime to impress her father. Meanwhile, Kristen and Ryan try to remain cool when Boyd invites a girl over.”
At any rate, it will not be all fun in “Last Man Standing” season 7 because Mike’s father, Bud (Robert Forster), will not be back, and based on the storyline, they will write off his character by making him die. But then again, his legacy will continue to live on on the show as his shop will still be featured in the sitcom as a family member takes over the business. “Ryan will be taking over the daily running of the shop,” Kevin Abbott, “Last Man Standing” executive producer, told TV Line.
Meanwhile, “Last Man Standing” season 7 debuted ahead of its original premiere date of Sept. 28, with FOX releasing the first episode on Sept. 23 via Twitter. The network revealed that it decided to surprise the fans with an early premiere as a way to show their gratitude for their support, EconoTimes reported.
“Last Man Standing” season 7 episode 1, titled “Welcome Baxter,” will officially air on Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. on Fox while episode 4 is set to arrive on Oct. 19.
