KEMP, Texas, April 26, 2018 -- Larson Electronics, a leading industrial lighting company, has announced the release of a hazardous area emergency LED light with a remote mount battery. This light is an excellent replacement/upgrade for ISO 14644 and FS-209E clean room applications that require little to no contamination such as: medical applications, pharmaceutical, and laboratories.
The HALD-EMG-48-2X150LED-V2 is a Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 & 2, and clean room rated hazardous location LED unit. This low-profile fixture includes dual LED lamps that provide 26,00 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 300 watts. This light includes an integrated LED assembly featuring multiple LED drivers, increasing the fixture’s operational life. These LED drivers are part of LED boards that operate individually – if one driver fails, the others will continue to work normally. A remote battery backup unit is included for additional reliability, which runs at the standard UL suggested for 90 minutes after power is lost. Once power is restored the LED light recharges the emergency battery.
This emergency LED clean room light is constructed of copper-free aluminum alloy which is powder coated for additional durability. A 3/16” thick unbreakable polycarbonate door protects and provides access to the unit’s components. This sturdy construction gives the lamp excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The HALD-EMG-48-2X150LED-V2 is low profile, designed for recess mounting, and lightweight, making it an attractive alternative to older, bulkier fixtures. The clean room LED light’s special heat dissipating design and LED technology helps it achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan and 80% lumen retention.
