“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” is Keanu Reeves’ latest movie to be released this year. It was reported that the A-list star was able to do this film again after turning down a role in the DC film sequels that will feature him as the new alien Kree in “Captain Marvel.”

According to Cinema Blend, Keanu Reeves could have been Yon-Rogg if only the filming for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” did not conflict with said DC filming schedule. It cited the tweet of “That Hashtag Show’s” Charles Murphy on Feb. 3 that stated Reeves dropped out of the movie. Then again, whether the role was really offered to the “John Wick” actor or not, has not been confirmed.

At any rate, as fans wait for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” here are things to know before it arrives in theaters.

Story – What Will It Be About

The trailer for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” was already released and based on the clip, it will show John wick being chased by the bad guys because he assassinated the previous villain, Santino D'Antonio. Keanu Reeves character seems torn and struggling to get over the death of his wife and dog and he could avenge their deaths while also running for his own life.

Apparently, a new antagonist hired a killer to murder the lead character in “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.” so he is trying his best to survive. As shared on Digital Trends, the film’s official synopsis reads: “Legendary hit man John Wick must fight his way out of New York when a $14 million contract on his life makes him the target of the world's top assassins.”

Who Will Return?

For the cast, only one character is not appearing on “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and he is the villain that John Wick previously killed. Common who played the role said in an interview that he really loves to be part of the Keanu Reeves-starrer movie but his character is already dead.

Minus Common, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” will feature Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, Mark Dacascos, Ian McShane and more. Chad Stahelski will still direct the film.
