Chicago, Illinois, Aug. 17, 2017 -- Professor Daryl Lim, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property, Information & Privacy Law at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, will teach a course in Singapore on U.S. patent law and practice to law students at the National University of Singapore (NUS) on the invitation of its law faculty.

In the 2017 report by London-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, NUS Law was ranked 1st in Asia and 24th in the world. NUS also topped the inaugural 2017 Asia-Pacific University Rankings by the Times Higher Education magazine.
“I am honored by NUS Law’s invitation for me to offer its students a course in U.S. patent law and practice,” Lim said. “It bodes well for the standing of John Marshall’s IP program and it is affirmation that what we have accomplished here is noticed beyond our shores. I look forward to finding new avenues for John Marshall to collaborate and to remain a relevant player in IP education and thought leadership.”
Lim will teach an intensive three-week course this month. The visiting faculty he joins at NUS this year include Professor Fannie Coplin (University of Texas at Austin), Professor Gen Goto (University of Tokyo), Professor Christopher Hare (University of Oxford), Professor Michael Klausner (Stanford Law School), Professor Robert Burrell (University of Melbourne), Professor Franco Ferrari (NYU School of Law), Professor Douglas Kysar (Yale Law School), Professor Peter L. Strauss (Columbia Law School) and Mr. Gary Born (Chair, International Arbitration Practice Group at WilmerHale).
