Jessica Simpson is pregnant and has made this fact known to the world for some time now. However, it would seem that the tabloids have gotten it into their heads to use this opportunity for some made-up gossip. This is why there have been several reports of the singer and actress having twins despite the clear evidence that she is not.
As Gossip Cop notes, this new tabloid garbage about Jessica Simpson comes courtesy of Life & Style, which printed the headline that reads “Jessica Twins!” This information supposedly comes from an insider who was naturally unnamed but claims to know that two bundles of joy are on the way. This was quickly debunked using evidence that was just staring fans in the face.
The clearest proof there is would be the Instagram post by Jessica Simpson, which indicates that only one baby girl is coming. The caption basically says it all.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life,” the caption reads.
Even with a rather overwhelming proof that completely destroys the tabloid gossip, however, sites like New Idea continue to parrot the same claim. It would seem that none of the publications even bothered to check with Jessica Simpson or her representatives to ask if she was having only one baby or two. Gossip Cop did and confirmed that it was only going to be one baby.
Such rumors are nothing new in the world of celebrities, but it can be difficult to ask for people’s trust without first fact-checking the topic being covered. It can be even harder to maintain trust when, in the face of clear evidence that the claim is untrue, a publication still insists that their unnamed source is right. For the record, Jessica Simpson is having only one baby.
