Former "Alias" star Jennifer Garner being strict about the many aspects of her children is not new. But Us Weekly recently ran a piece on a supposedly negative relationship growing between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's current significant other, SNL producer Lindsay Shookus.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been co-parenting their three children since the couple separated back in 2015. Garner and Affleck's divorce, while still to be finalized, was a private but amicable moment for the then-couple when it was announced. The rumored antagonism towards Lindsay Shookus may be surprising for some fans considering how smoothly the divorce and the co-parenting have been going so far for the former couple.
According to Us Weekly's anonymous source, Jennifer Garner has stated that she has many reasons for not trusting her children with Lindsay Shookus and that Affleck and Shookus' relationships may have already started prior to Garner and Affleck agreeing on pushing through with the divorce. Shookus herself is a divorcee who split from her ex-husband, Kevin Miller, back in 2014.
Us Weekly's source claims that this would be the reason why Garner has had a negative stance on Lindsay Shookus spending time with her and Affleck's children. While yet to be proven, should Shookus be definitely involved in the supposedly mutual agreement to divorce between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, this would be the most detailed info that fans will be getting about the reason behind Garner and Affleck's split. If these are not plain rumors, that is.
For those interested in more things Jennifer Garner post-Affleck divorce, the former television star recently restarted her career with the upcoming HBO Comedy “Camping.” Garner will be starring with David Tennant, who will be playing the clueless husband that Garner's character dotes on in her own weird way. “Camping,” which takes its inspiration from the British show of the same title, has already released its first trailer and will premiere on HBO on Oct. 14.
