Pokémon fans and dessert lovers rejoice as Mister Donut in Japan unveils its latest Pokémon-themed treats. Starting with the adorable Diglett donut, the collection evolves with the Dugtrio churro, featuring three Digletts in a caramel-chocolate-coated, heart-shaped churro, available exclusively from November 27 to December 25.
Mister Donut Japan Welcomes Back Pikachu Donuts with New Diglett Addition for 2024
There will be even more reason to make space for Poké-themed desserts.
On November 6, two sizable fan communities—Pokémon enthusiasts and donut lovers—found cause for excitement. On Wednesday, the beloved sweets chain Mister Donuts unveiled the exclusive and highly anticipated Pokémon-themed donuts reserved for the most dedicated fans.
Continuing an established tradition, according to SoraNews24, the adorable Pikachu donuts returned alongside a new addition to the 2024 collection: the Ground-type Diglett. Making its debut, Diglett is featured rising through a Pon de Ring, Mister Donut’s signature donut crafted from eight chewy dough balls linked together in a circle.
However, seasoned Pokémon fans will note that Diglett isn’t the final evolution of this Pocket Monster. Under the right circumstances, Diglett evolves into Dugtrio, and the donut version will do the same, with the Pon de Diglett soon to be joined by the Churo de Dugtrio.
Dugtrio Churro Joins Mister Donut’s Pokémon Lineup with Caramel Chocolate and Crunchy Heart Twist
Mirroring its in-game counterpart, the Dugtrio donut features three Diglett figures grouped. Like the Pon de Diglett, the Churo de Dugtrio is filled with light and fluffy whipped cream and coated in rich caramel chocolate. The “ground” component has also evolved, appearing as a heart-shaped churro with a satisfying crunch and a hint of sweetness from the chocolate topping.
This hefty dessert is priced at 594 yen (US$3.95), ideal for sharing with friends or family who appreciate Pokémon and sweets. To ensure you don't miss out, it's essential to reserve it a day before in-store pickup, available exclusively through Mister Donut’s online or phone app ordering system.
Just like Diglett needs the experience to evolve into Dugtrio, the Churo de Dugtrio requires a little extra time before hitting stores. It will be available for a limited time, from November 27 to December 25, with orders opening on November 15. Take your chance to taste this unique dessert!
