With the success of the first three 'Iron Man' films, it is with no doubt that there could be a possibility for a fourth film for our beloved genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
There are rumors surfacing though as to that of Robert Downey Jr.'s contract with Marvel ending at 'Captain America: Civil War'. There might be a possibility of Downey not reprising his role as Iron Man as it was rumored that his downing price has gone way up and Marvel may not agree with it. He may have negotiated with Marvel for a percentage of the movie's income instead of a fixed price. Downey, on the other hand, neither confirmed or denied these rumors yet.
With this in mind, speculations arise as to who would replace Downey in his iconic role and the name Ty Simpkins is on top of the list. Simpkins who is part of the film 'Jurassic World' was also part of the last Iron Man film in which he played Harley Keener, the kid who helped Stark track down the Mandarin. Although Simpkins' is a promising child actor, many doubts his ability to step into Downey's big shoes and fill in his iconic role. With Downey's charisma and presence, it might be difficult for Simpkins to give justice to the suit and to the role. Many fans, after hearing this rumor, have thought of ideas on what the plot will be with one stating that Simpkins may inherit the suit from Stark, knowing that the two have been close in the last film.
The rumored release date for the fourth installment is said to be on 2020, which is far from now so there can still be changes and adjustments to that. What are your thoughts on the said rumors? Comment your thoughts below!
