Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to transform The Confidante Miami Beach into the new Andaz Miami Beach, which will open in the fourth quarter of 2024. The new hotel, owned by Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc., aims to redefine guests' personal essence by immersing them in Miami Beach's vibrant culture.
Immersive Redesign and Experiences
According to The Financial Times, the renovation includes a barrier-free redesigned lobby, two reconceptualized pools, an exhilarating spa, guestrooms, suites, and meeting spaces. The hotel will offer immersive dining experiences with culinary offerings from José Andrés Group.
As part of the transformation, the oceanfront property will temporarily suspend operations from March 25, 2024, until the renovation is completed. The hotel seeks to elevate the guest experience by blending Miami Beach's essence with imaginative travel concepts.
Andaz Miami Beach's Debut
BusinessWire noted that the Andaz Miami Beach marks the brand's first presence in Florida, expanding Hyatt's brand footprint and paving the way for growth in one of the world's top leisure markets. With a growing portfolio, Andaz encourages guests to explore their curiosities and embrace new experiences.
Featuring three towers overlooking the beach, the hotel will introduce an ocean-view check-in experience, reinvented culinary offerings, and dynamic spaces. The property will include an outdoor terrace restaurant and a second-level Andaz Lounge, designed to be a vibrant hub within the neighborhood.
Event and Gathering Spaces
The hotel offers 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, ocean-view ballrooms, and a pool area with versatile technology for various events and activations. The property aims to create a welcoming environment for guests and locals to socialize and exchange ideas.
Set to stimulate guests' curiosity through distinctive local tastes with a twist, José Andrés Group will expand its South Florida footprint, bringing world-class dining to the heart of Miami Beach by opening three distinct dining experiences at Andaz Miami Beach.
The venue will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, a craft cocktail bar celebrating classics, and innovative modern creations – a José Andrés Group signature concept reimagined for today's Miami. All venues are slated to launch with the reopening of the reimagined resort.
