It appears that the easiest way to spot an unreleased smartphone these days is to ride the subway. Last month, a person was spotted using the Google Pixel 3 XL while riding the TTC subway in Toronto. This time, it’s the Huawei Mate 20 Pro turn to take a ride on the subway.
Slashleaks has just shared two photos of someone using what appears to be the Huawei Mate 20 Pro while he was on the subway. As you can see, the triple-camera setup at the back looks similar to the ones on the leaked renders from earlier this week, and the color of the phone matches as well.
Is this a photo of the real Huawei Mate 20 Pro? Smartphone enthusiasts will find out once it is unveiled on Oct. 16.
Meanwhile, more details regarding the specs of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro have emerged this week thanks to Israeli tech site Girafa. The upcoming smartphone is going to be powered by the Huawei's latest 7nm Kirin 980 chipset, which is supposed to rival Apple’s A12 Bionic chip.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro will feature a 6.9-inch curved OLED display with a 21:9 screen aspect ratio, 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage space with a microSD card slot, a 4,200 mAh battery, and an IP67 rating, which means it is dust proof and water resistant. Huawei will also be introducing their new SuperCharge 2.0 feature in the smartphone, which is supposed to provide a 70% charge in just 30 minutes.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro will have a fingerprint sensor under the screen as well, and it will support 3D face recognition. Aside from the triple-camera setup at the rear, the phone will also have a 24-megapixel pixel front camera. The camera system will include the AI Smart Zoom feature that detects moving objects and automatically focuses on them.
