Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's romance may be the sweetest relationship that Hollywood has right now but recently, rumors have been cropping up that Stefani's former flame, Gavin Rossdale, may be rocking the couple's boat due to Blake Shelton's relationship with their kids.
Gwen Stefani's former husband, Gavin Rossdale, is rumored to be threatened by Blake Shelton's role in the lives of his children as they spend a majority of their time with the “No Doubt” frontwoman and her current boyfriend. The rumors also claim that Rossdale is jealous of how close Shelton is becoming to his kids. The rumors include claims that Gwen Stefani and Rossdale have had multiple spats since their divorce over the issue.
Interestingly enough, Gwen Stefani has historically said that Gavin Rossdale and Blake Shelton have gotten along. In a past interview with Ellen Degeneres, Stefani mentions that, aside from the kids, even Gavin Rossdale appreciates having Blake Shelton around. While this may put to rest the rumors about Rossdale's antagonistic relationship with Stefani, the interview does not address the jealousy aspect of the current rumors.
The degree of jealousy and anger that Gavin Rossdale may have against Blake Shelton supposedly replacing him as a father cannot be confirmed due to a lack of public evidence and actual statements from Rossdale's camp. But there may be some credence to Rossdale's concern that his and Gwen Stefani's children aren't spending as much time with him as he would like.
According to an E! News report, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are reportedly undergoing the mediation process regarding custody of their children. The report adds that Stefani and Rossdale may have initially disagreed on custody arrangements considering that Stefani believes she can provide a more stable home for her and Rossdale's children as Rossdale was busy touring with the band Bush. It seems that Rossdale has recently finished his tour and is eager to make arrangements for his and Gwen Stefani's children to spend more time with him.
Fans of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton can hopefully look forward to developments in the custody mediation between Stefani and Gavin Rossdale to see if the former couple can come to an understanding that will benefit all parties concerned.
