Today is the day of the data of the month, US NFP report. Other data releases today, are of moderate risk. Today's focus is on US.
Data released so far -
- Germany - Industrial data released showed the resilience of Germany that grew 0.6% mom and 0.9% YoY. Grossly ignored by Euro, but overall positive for German stocks.
Upcoming -
- France - Trade balance data to be released at 7:45 GMT. Notably France's economy is still facing trouble with growth.
- Switzerland - CPI reading to published at 8:15 GMT. CPI is already in negative and if the pace of fell fastens could ass further pressure on franc.
- UK - Consumer inflation expectation data to be released at 9:30 GMT. Very vital for the pound, a weaker reading could further derail the pound against dollar.
- Euro zone - GDP data to be released at at 10:00 GMT. May not be market moving as NFP looms ahead, but vital to evaluate the strength of the economy.
- India - Today is once again the tentative date of release of India's trade data along with FX reserve. Scheduled time 11:30 GMT.
- US - Mega release of the day, NFP report at 13:30 GMT. Previous headline number was 257,000 job additions. Today's expectation is 240,000. Wage growth numbers would be vital to watch out for. Stronger wage growth and headline number would further fuel the rise of Dollar.
- Canada - Trade balance data to be released at 13:30 GMT along with labor productivity and building permits. Should be grossly ignored for today as more focus will be on Non-farm.
