- Japan - Preliminary reading shows Coincident index and leading economic index are both down marginally to 112.5 and 103.5 from prior 113.1 and 105 respectively. Bank of Japan (BOJ) kept monetary policies on hold. Press conference scheduled at 6:30 GMT.
- Germany - Industrial production dropped by -1.2% in August from July, up 2.3% y/y.

- US - MBA mortgage application to be released at 11:00 GMT, followed by consumer credit change at 19:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly crude oil report at 14:30 GMT.
- Canada - Building permits for August to be released at 12:30 GMT.
- Japan - Trade balance, Machinery orders and foreign investment statistics all to be released at 23:50 GMT.
- Auctions - German and US will auction 10 year bond today.
