Not many economic dockets scheduled for today, focus is on Euro zone GDP.
Data released so far -
- France - Preliminary reading showed, France's GDP failed to grow in second quarter from first, up 1% on yearly basis. Non farm payroll rose by 0.2% in second quarter.
- Germany - Preliminary reading showed German GDP grew 0.4% from the first quarter in second, up 1.6% from a year ago.
- India - WPI inflation tumbled to -4.05% in July.
- Italy - GDP rose by 0.2% in second quarter, from 0.3% in first.
- Portugal - GDP grew by 0.4% in second quarter, up 1.5% on yearly basis.
- Euro zone - Consumer price index is down -0.6% in July. As per preliminary reading Euro zone GDP grew by 0.3% in second quarter, lower than expected 0.4%.
Upcoming -
- US - Producer price index to be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by industrial production at 13:15 GMT and Michigan consumer sentiment index at 14:00 GMT.
- Canada - Canada will release manufacturing shipments data for June at 12:30 GMT.
