With a special two-hour premiere episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15, the viewers can certainly expect myriad events to take place. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will seem distracted for obvious reasons. Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers) will still be on their honeymoon while the rest of the doctors in Grey Sloan are in for some rivalries.
According to the official synopsis of the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15’s opener, fans should expect to see Meredith acting differently and “[struggling] to stay focused.” While the reason behind it is not mentioned, fans can take a hint from the montage of upcoming scenes shown in the trailer.
One of the most eye-catching snippets in the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 trailer is Meredith and DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) passionately kissing while naked in bed. If DeLuca is what distracts Meredith, it is possible that their relationship will start off with uncertainties.
Jo and Alex have had a whirlwind of dating life before they finally tied the knot in the season 14 finale. It was confirmed in the synopsis that Jo and Alex will be on their honeymoon when the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 opens next week. However, TVLine hints that their honeymoon plans will happen just as how their wedding did. They intended to get married on an island but got lost along the way, so the ceremony was held on the ferry boat instead.
In the first hour of the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 premiere, Teddy’s (Kim Raver) got some big news — she’s pregnant. Maggie will be the one to know about it and will have to struggle to keep it a secret. What complicates the secret-keeping task even more for Maggie is the brewing love triangle between Teddy, Owen (Kevin McKidd), and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone).
The second half of the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 opener is where the new doctors will enter the show and fans should expect these new doctors to shake things up in Grey Sloan. Meanwhile, Jo will build “an unexpected alliance.” If these two scenarios are connected, a new and intense rivalry in the hospital could be in the pipeline. “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
