There are only three more weeks before “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 will air on ABC and it’s expected to produce a lot of views for the network. The medical drama has been one of ABC’s most successful show, as evidenced by how long it’s been running.
The cast of the show has been pretty much diverse in the past but “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 will further expand this as they’ve added a gay surgeon to its ensemble, Digital Spy reported. This is the first time the medical drama will feature such a character.
The character’s name is Dr. Nico Kim and he is played by half-Korean actor Alex Landi. “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 has been labeled the “Season of Love” and it’s unclear whether romance will be in Dr. Kim’s storyline.
In fact, little is known regarding what the showrunners are planning for the character, but given how well they’ve managed the medical drama so far, it’s safe to say it’s going to be riveting. Debbie Allen, the actress playing Catherine Avery, already hinted that “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 is going to be “hot.”
Indeed, the 15th season is expected to bring a lot of heat as tensions will rise between Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). Raver has been promoted as a series regular in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 after the previous finale revealed her character is carrying the child of Hunt.
While some might see this as a blessing, others aren’t fond of it, especially those who are rooting for the blossoming romance of Hunt and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). McKidd has already hinted that Altman and Hunt’s reunion is going to be an unhappy encounter. “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 is slated to premiere on Sept. 27 and its first episode will run for two hours.
