Global Geo-political Series: Vladimir Putin mocks fake news on Trump sharing classified information

The Russian president Vladimir Putin makes a mockery of the fake news that the US President Donald Trump passed on sensitive and classified information to the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov during Mr. Lavrov’s meeting with the President in the White House. The New York Times’ report based on anonymous sources accuse Trump of compromising national security with his passing the information and accuse him of breaching the trust of an ally (reportedly Israel), which provided the information but did not give permission to share it.

All parties involved; the White House, the US Secretary of State (who was present at the meeting), National Security advisor H.R. McMaster (who was present at the meeting), Russian officials (present at the meeting), Israel (which allegedly provided information) have refuted the story as bogus.

When asked about this story during Vladimir Putin’s press conference with the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, President Putin makes a hilarious mockery of the news. He said that no secrets were shared and the same time he is seeing how a political schizophrenia is developing in the United States: “At the same time we are seeing how political schizophrenia is developing in the U.S. there’s no other way in which I could explain, these accusations against the president about sharing some secrets with Lavrov……and by the way, I have already spoken with him (Lavrov) about this today and we will have to tell him off because he hasn’t shared these secrets with us, neither with me, nor with Russian secret services. That is not good for him. More than that – if the U.S. considers it necessary – we are ready to provide the Senate and U.S. congress with a recording of the conversation between Lavrov and Trump. But only if the American administration wants it.”

President Putin makes a perfect mockery of American political hysteria surrounding the Trump administration. Here is the link to the video on youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh4G7_Ji5Yg
