Germany’s unemployment likely to have fallen slightly in August

Germany’s joblessness might have dropped a tad in August. According to a Societe Generale research report, unemployment in the nation is expected to have fallen by 2000, leaving the jobless rate stable at 6.1 percent.

Even if the outlook has recovered entirely from the global recession fears early in 2016, sentiment has fallen a bit in August PMIs. Certain pause for reflection is expected in the months ahead as firms examine underlying demand.

This still provides for quite a strong and stable labor market in Germany that is basically operating at a full capacity. Thus, wage pressures are also likely to be seen relatively more rapidly in 2017 as inflation begins moving higher again on back of waning downward pressures from energy prices, added Societe Generale.
