“Game of Thrones” Season 8 is expected to pull in huge audiences for its mother network, HBO, especially now that fans of the epic fantasy saga have been left hankering because of its absence this year. The show has captured the imagination of millions of people worldwide because of its relatable characters, intricate plot, and mind-blowing battle scenes.

One of the things that have yet to be resolved is who Azor Ahai really, is and this arc might be completed when “Game of Thrones” Season 8 finally airs. Most show watchers and book readers alike are convinced that he is Jon Snow (Kit Harington) given that his true lineage has already been revealed. But Reddit user RelaxedAnxiety44 has a different theory, Express reported.

The fan posted on the forum that Azor Ahai is actually two people, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. The post went on to dissect the prophecy, which predicts that the legendary hero “will be born amidst smoke and salt,” a quote that’s been mocked by Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) as it makes out the warrior to be a ham. As usual, HBO has been deafeningly quiet about the plotline so fans are left wondering if “Game of Thrones” Season 8 will reveal who Azor Ahai really is.

But given that the army of the dead has already broken through the Wall, it’s likely that Azor Ahai will make an appearance in “Game of Thrones” Season 8. The previous season saw heart-wrenching scenes and one of them was when Night King drove a spear of ice into the heart of one of Daenerys’ dragons, the youngest of the three.

After killing it, the main protagonist resurrected the winged beast and used it to melt the Wall with an unnatural fire. “Game of Thrones” Season 8 will surely display another epic battle as showrunners have already revealed that they’ve wrapped up one of the most grueling shoots the cast and crew have ever done.

The shoot reportedly lasted 55 nights, possibly filming the clash between the people of Westeros and Night King and his undead legion. As of now, HBO has yet to announce when “Game of Thrones” Season 8 will be aired and only said it will drop the installment sometime in 2019.
