Cleveland, OH, Aug. 23, 2017 -- There is no better way for an innovative creative organization to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its newly constructed world headquarters than with a world-class exhibit of visual and literary arts from its very own associates. American Greetings will be doing exactly that when the Company hosts its 38th Annual Fine Art Show in Gallery W, the public art gallery located on the ground floor of the new Creative Studios at Crocker Park. The public is welcome at the exhibit’s opening reception from 5-9 p.m. on September 15, and the show will run through Friday, October 27, 2017.

In addition to being the only Gallery W show each year that includes art from American Greetings associates, the Fine Art Show is also the only exhibit that fills both the public gallery space and the separate, private art gallery within the Creative Studios world headquarters. While a greeting card company employing talented writers and artists is not surprising, the unique twist of many exhibitors and winners not working in a creative role is a proof-point of the 111-year-old Company’s dedication to fostering, inspiring and celebrating the arts.
“Emphasizing the importance of creativity in everything we do here, it’s with great pride that our new headquarters allows us to host our own long-standing American Greetings tradition,” said Mark Mueller, Executive Director, Creative. “Last year’s Fine Art Show was Gallery W’s inaugural exhibit, and we couldn’t be more pleased by the continued widespread participation with more than ninety pieces in this year’s show. Our notable panel of local jurors represents a blend of traditional and modern disciplines, and the breadth of submissions will make for an energetic and eclectic show.
Guests at the opening reception will be treated to live music in both galleries with jazz performances from the Dave Sterner Duo and Moustache Yourself.
