A recent rumor claimed that “Fuller House” season 4 could be the last installment of the Netflix sitcom. However, the official word from the entertainment streaming company is that no decision has been made yet. Fans will have to wait until after the upcoming installment's December 2018 premiere to get some answers.

TVLine previously reported that it “heard” that Netflix was considering to cancel the show after “Fuller House” season 4. But sitcom regulars Candace Cameron Bure and Juan Pablo Di Pace were quick to deny the cancellation rumors. The actors portray D.J. Tanner-Fuller and Fernando Hernandez-Guerrero-Fernandez-Guerrero, respectively.

Netflix usually announces the show’s renewal after every season premiere. In this case, that news could arrive before 2018 ends since “Fuller House” season 4 is expected to be released later this year.

The cast and crew finished filming “Fuller House” season 4 in early September, as confirmed by multiple social media posts from the actors. Bure shared a group selfie with onscreen best friends Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber and encouraged the fans to watch only on Netflix “for [them] to get a season 5.” Sweetin and Barber portray the characters of Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler, respectively.

Bure previously confirmed there will be progress in the love life of D.J. However, the actress reiterated that Kimmy’s pregnancy is still a more important storyline to follow in “Fuller House” season 4.

Several behind-the-scenes previews showed Kimmy’s very pregnant belly, which further sparked speculations that she might be carrying more than one baby. However, the baby (or babies) in her womb is not hers and Fernando’s. Kimmy agreed in season 3 to become Stephanie’s surrogate.

Barber’s Instagram updates also confirmed that Kimmy will not give birth until the finale episode of “Fuller House” season 4. Kimmy’s pregnancy also allowed several guest roles to be included in the upcoming season.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” star Maria Canals-Barrera will star as Fernando’s mother. Her reaction to Kimmy’s surrogate pregnancy will surely be an interesting sight in “Fuller House” season 4.
