“Fuller House” just had its most exciting year since the original show aired back in the 1980s. The family-oriented sitcom that's essentially a spin-off of the original “Full House” recently got nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Children's Program. The cast of “Fuller House” expressed their appreciation for the recognition of the long-running series.
With “Fuller House” season 4 on the way, the show's star, Candace Cameron Bure, who plays D.J. Tanner-Fuller in both the original “Full House” and the Netflix spin-off, also expressed her excitement about season 4's plotlines. She also spoke about how fans will potentially receive the show's fourth season.
In an interview with E! News, Bure mentions that season 4 will be focusing on Kimmy Gibbler's surrogate pregnancy for Stephanie Tanner, who is currently in a relationship with Gibbler's brother, Jimmie Gibbler. While Bure's character D.J. Tanner and Steve Hale, played by Scott Weinger, will finally be officially together in season 4 to the satisfaction of fans, Bure mentions that the surrogate pregnancy will take precedence over Steve and D.J.'s love life.
Unfortunately, in the same interview, Bure drops the information that John Stamos and Bob Saget won't be getting more active roles compared to the recurring roles they had in season 3. The reason for the minimization of Saget and Stamos may seem to be related to the pregnancy-focused storyline, which looks to involved cast members who are already living in the Tanner-Fuller household. Still, Bure assures fans that the two will still get about three episodes each as a showcase for their characters.
While Netflix had announced that “Fuller House” season 4 was greenlit last January, it has yet to announce a finalized airing date for the premiere. Fans can expect “Fuller House” season 4 to be available to stream on Netflix sometime in December, similar to its previous seasons.
