SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 16, 2017 -- Periscope Data, the analytics system of record for professional data teams, today announced that Pete Sicilia has joined its leadership team as vice president, customer success.
Sicilia spent nearly seven years at Splunk, a big data software provider that specializes in real-time operational intelligence, where he held a number of leadership roles, most recently area vice president, data and analytics. At Splunk, he led the data and analytics team — driving Splunk’s data-driven culture and championing data as a strategic asset — and was responsible for the overall vision, strategy and execution for business intelligence, data governance and analytics activities. He joins Periscope Data to scale out its burgeoning customer success team and well-renowned solutions team, which boasts a five-second live-chat response time. Sicilia’s career spans more than 20 years, during which he’s held several customer success, field leadership and business operations roles.
“Customer-centricity is one of Periscope Data’s core values,” said co-founder and CEO Harry Glaser. “Helping our customers use business insights to be more successful is at the heart of everything we do. In order to scale our existing programs and introduce new ones, like professional services and customer education, we need a strong leader heavily steeped in the tenets of successful customer success as well as the transformative power analytics can have on an organization. Pete was a natural choice.”
“Customer success is a key business enabler and a huge differentiator for Periscope Data,” said Sicilia. “Its importance will only continue to grow as we bring on more customers, expand our product offerings and begin developing a more global footprint. I couldn’t be more excited to take on this opportunity and work alongside such incredibly talented and passionate people.”
