TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 15, 2017 -- ForeSight Medical, a national leader in controlling costs of surgical implants in the workers’ compensation arena, has demonstrated its commitment to data security and privacy by completing a meticulous outside audit of its Service Organization Controls 2 (Type 2) standards.
The rigorous examinations that led to the achievement were administered by the IT assurance and compliance staff at 360 Advanced, a respected national Qualified Security Assessor, HITRUST CSF Assessor and CPA firm based in St. Petersburg, FL.
The SOC 2 Type 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides service organizations a uniform method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls.
“Achieving the successful completion of this SOC 2 Type 2 for the second year in a row is a great accomplishment for ForeSight,” said Alisa Lewis, CHC, Director of Regulatory Compliance at ForeSight Medical, Surgical Management Solutions. “ForeSight’s dedication to the security and confidentiality of our client’s data is evidenced by our adherence to not only the SOC 2 Trust Service Principles and Criteria, but also to HIPAA, Hi-Tech and ISO 27001 standards. The integrity and confidentiality of personal health information and information security are of extreme importance to ForeSight and is deep-rooted in our company culture.”
