“Food Wars” season 4 is just a little over a month away from being released. However, online sentiments from avid fans appear to be underwhelming because of how the story ultimately ended in the manga.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 spoilers: Anime to end soon following manga’s conclusion
Most fans likely know by now that the manga series of “Food Wars” has officially ended this summer. This makes it possible for “Food Wars” season 4 to be the anime series’s last installment as well. However, it appears that this is the least concern for many fans.
Over the weekend, the latest visual art for “Food Wars” season 4 surfaced online. It features the so-called Rebels that include Soma Yukihira, Megumi Tadokoro, Takumi Aldini, Satoshi Isshiki, Subaru Mimasaka, Terunori Kuga, and Tosuke Megishima. This team is currently fighting the Central composed of the reigning Elite Ten Council with the wager practically involves the future of entire Totsuki Culinary Academy.

However, in some online platforms where the promotional image for “Food Wars” season 4 was released, most of the comments from fans were about how they felt about the manga’s ending. And the majority of the feedback is on the negative side. Some netizens even said they find it hard to even be excited about the next anime installment knowing now how the story will end.
Including chapter 315 (where the manga ended) and the three epilogue chapters, the manga series has enough materials to make another 24 episodes of anime. If “Food Wars” season 4 will have the same episode count as season 3, this could very well be the anime’s final stint, too.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 plot, release date: Rebels vs. Central is worth watching
The fanbase might be divided at how the BLUE arc ended, but the opening storyline for “Food Wars” season 4 still is an exciting one. Season 3 ended with the first round of the Regiment de Cuisine, so four more bouts will be covered in the upcoming episodes.
The protagonists will see some ups and downs through this competition, but they will emerge victoriously and save Totsuki. Probably one of the most exciting parts of “Food Wars” season 4 is the time when Soma fulfills one of his goals once he is appointed to the Elite Ten Council’s First Seat while Erina becomes the director of the academy. “Food Wars” season 4 is confirmed to premiere in October.
