FirstBank, the nation’s third largest privately held bank with numerous banking locations in Arizona, has been recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal (PBJ) as one of the top 20 “Best Places to Work” in the medium business category.
All recognized companies were encouraged to submit a short video demonstrating why they’re a great company to work for as part of its “Best Places to Work video” challenge. The bank’s “Good to be a FirstBanker” music video received the top honor. The video can be watched here.
Employees were asked to rate FirstBank - via an anonymous third-party survey - on company culture, benefits, professional development, compensation, manager effectiveness and trust in senior leadership. The organizations that ranked the highest in those categories were recognized among the Phoenix Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work.” The award was presented at a luncheon at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa on December 7.
“As FirstBank continues to expand in the Arizona market, we remain dedicated to ensuring all of our employees are provided with the tools and opportunities to succeed,” said FirstBank Market President Bryce Lloyd. “This only solidifies that effort and we feel honored to be listed on the top 20 list of Arizona’s best places to work.”
FirstBank has 15 locations employing more than 100 people in Arizona, with branches in Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Goodyear, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sun City West, and Surprise. FirstBank is a leading sponsor of Arizona Gives Day and provides its employees two days paid time off to support organizations they’re passionate about.
