When “Square Enix” released its most popular JRPG title “Final Fantasy VII” for iOS devices, Android users who are fans of the video game salivated at the chance of playing it on their own phones. Well, good news to those fans as the company finally decided to correct this imbalance and released Android versions of the title. Now, fans of “Cloud,” “Aerith,” and “Tifa” can play the legendary video game once more; this time while on the go.

The console version of “Final Fantasy VII” sold more than 11 million copies since its release, so it’s more than fair to suppose that it has a huge fan base. It’s also a fair bet that many of these fans would like to be able to play the game on their handheld devices, which is exactly what “Square” decided to give them.

Since it is essentially a port to an entirely new system, however, there are some issues to keep in mind. As Gamespot pointed out, the game is huge; over 4GB in size. This means that not only will Android users need to make room for the game, downloading it will take a long time depending on their internet speed.

It also has a few bugs that “Square Enix” is warning players about.

"Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, the buggy, submarines, airships, and other modes of transportation may cease to move when the player embarks or disembarks," the video game company explained.

Engadget also reports that the game costs $15.99 to play, so it’s going to be a significant investment that might not even turn out all that fun. Still, the game does allow players to cheat just as they could do with the next generation console versions that were released, so that’s something to consider.
