NEW YORK, Oct. 03, 2017 -- Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed David S. Bigelow IV as managing director and business development officer. Mr. Bigelow is based in New York and is responsible for building investment and trust relationships with individuals, families, and foundations in the Greater New York region.
“During his career as a trusted advisor to families, entrepreneurs and philanthropic organizations, David has successfully drawn upon his relationships to cultivate new business,” said Emily Dreas, executive vice president and head of business development at Fiduciary Trust Company International. “We look forward to working with David as we continue to expand our New York office, and bring our comprehensive suite of investment and wealth management services to more clients throughout the surrounding area.”
Mr. Bigelow has more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry. He was most recently a senior banker and executive director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he worked with wealthy individuals, owners of closely held businesses, and entrepreneurs. In this role, Mr. Bigelow provided trust and estate, credit, and advisory services to clients, and helped them identify strategies and investment solutions to achieve their long-term goals. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Bigelow was a senior consultant at NewOak Capital, an advisory firm, and served as product manager at Clinton Group, a hedge fund, where he built relationships with investors, rating agencies, monolines, and bankers. He also served as managing director of Radian Asset Assurance’s Financial Risk Solutions group.
Mr. Bigelow received his MBA in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor of arts in economics from Brown University.
Mr. Bigelow’s addition follows the recent appointments of Paulina Mejia as regional managing director, trust counsel, and head of Fiduciary Trust’s New York office, and Gerry Joyce as national head of the trust and estates.
“Fiduciary Trust’s approach is to partner with high-net-worth clients to protect and grow wealth while ensuring it is passed on in accordance with their wishes. The firm has a well-earned reputation for stellar service and dedication,” said Mr. Bigelow. “I am excited to join the Fiduciary Trust team and look forward to helping the firm continue to grow its Greater New York regional footprint.”
