Driven by never-before-seen institutional adoption and ground-breaking network activity, Ethereum has had a stunning increase in 2025. In August, Spot Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows of $5 billion, more than all other significant US industry ETFs, with a peak of $3.7 billion in a single week. With roughly $13 billion in total inflows since launch, BlackRock's ETHA ETF alone garnered $262 million. Institutional investors, especially investment advisers, poured $1.3 billion (539,000 ETH) into these ETFs in Q2, a 68% increase from the previous quarter, therefore highlighting Ethereum's increasing function as a diversification asset. Meanwhile, Ethereum's price has increased 200% to $4,460, with experts projecting $7,500–$8,000 by year's end and maybe $10,000–$12,000 by 2030, supported by supply tightness as Treasuries and ETFs account for around 5% of the ETH now in circulation.
With the 14-day SMA of transactions reaching 1.7 million in August, beating 2021 bull cycle numbers, and daily Active addresses typically range from 2 to 2.5 million, occasionally reaching over 3 million. Driven by $100 billion in total worth locked, the DeFi industry has greatly expanded. Platforms like Aave and decentralized exchange volumes nearing 2021 highs have maintained transaction fees low, even with explosive adoption, enhancing scalability and supporting price momentum. Ethereum is often compared to "digital oil," the foundation of the contemporary financial system.
ETHUSD trades below $4500 despite an increase in institutional demand. It hit a low of $4209 and is currently trading around $4388. Overall trend remains bullish as long as support $3500 remains intact. Watch out for $4500, any break above targets $4650/$4770/$5000/$6000. A robust bullish trend will only materialize above $5000.
Immediate support is around $4200. Any violation below will drag the price down to $4000/$3700/$3550/$3500/$3380/$3200/$3000. A breach below $3000 could see Ethereum plummet to $2770/$2500.
It is good to buy on dips around $4300 with SL around $4000 for a TP of $5000/$6000.
