S&P 500 -
- US benchmark is trading in green today, however trading within ranges for days now. Index has bounced back from 2050 level and tested 2072 intraday.
- Initial jobless claims came much better than expected at 268K, continuing claims dropped to 2.325 million.
- In spite of stronger dollar trade balance improved to $-35.4 billion, from prior $ -42.68 billion.
- Factory orders grew better than expected at 0.2% in February.
- ISM New York disappointed coming at 50 meaning no growth compared to prior 63.1. This could partially be due to harsh winter.
- SPX500 is currently trading at 2068, down 0.32% for the day. Immediate support lies at 1980, 2040 and resistance 2082, 2120, 2164.
FTSE -
- FTSE is trading in short range today, bounced back from around 6800 level, still struggling to gain above 6850 area after yesterday's try.
- UK construction PMI fell to 57.8 from 60.1.
- Market will remain closed tomorrow over Easter.
- FTSE is currently trading at 6820, up 0.14% today. Immediate support lies at 6700 and resistance at 9665 and 7060.
DAX -
- DAX is in red today over profit booking before Easter holiday.
- DAX is trading in small range today of just 100 points.
- Index is trading at 11948, down near 0.44% today. Immediate support lies at 11750, 11600 and resistance at 12080, 12200.
EuroStxx50 -
- Stocks across Europe are mixed today.
- Germany is down (-0.44%), France's CAC40 is up (+0.10%), Italy's FTSE MIB is down (-0.21%) and Spain's IBEX is up (+0.55%).
- EuroStxx50 is currently trading at 3712, down -0.32% today. Bias is upwards. Support lies at 3635, 3545.
Nikkei -
- Nikkei has once again bounced back support area today. However index seem to lack direction after last month's rally.
- Nikkei is currently trading at 19360. Immediate support lies at 19000, 18540 and resistance at 19,570, 19730, 19920.
