Looks like the “Dragon Ball Super” manga series will not be coming to an end just yet. While the anime series remains on indefinite hiatus after the Universe Survival Saga, sources say the manga is moving forward with a new arc that is scheduled to start on Nov. 21. Noted “Dragon Ball Super” tipster Todd Blankenship aka @Herms98 has also reported the same thing.
At the moment, the Tournament of Power is nearing its end as Universe 11's Jiren battles Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Android 17. And by now, fans of the series are starting wondering what is going to happen next.
The obvious answer is an adaptation of the “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” film that is scheduled to come out next month. After all, the manga did adapt “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.” Some may argue that the manga skipped “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'” but they only did so because there is already a three-chapter adaptation of the movie.
Furthermore, an adaptation of “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” will give fans a preview of the film. It’s an interesting way to market the movie before it hit the theaters. Still, the manga is still worth a look even if fans are planning to watch the film because there are always a few changes between mediums.
“As the manga doesn't play out in exactly the same way as the anime's version of the events, chances are that the manga's version of Dragon Ball Super: Broly will have some deviations as well. Meaning that both will be worth tracking down for fans who want to see what comes next,” Nick Valez said in his report for ComicBook.com.
An adaptation of “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” is the safe bet. However, an entirely new story arc is possible as well especially when they want the “Dragon Ball Super” manga series to move ahead of the anime.
