Fans of Bandai Namco's rising star addition to the competitive fighting genre "Dragon Ball FighterZ" are in for a treat. Aside from recent news about the game's Nintendo Switch version ready for its beta test this August, with a September release on the way, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” has already become the premiere fighting game of the season, becoming the highest watched game ever on Twitch.

“Dragon Ball FighterZ's” massive popularity is not stopping at being the most popular fighting game of this era. Fans of the series who attended EV0 2018, the year's most awaited competitive fighting game event, were witnesses to a massive announcement from Bandai Namco.

Bandai Namco revealed Cooler as an upcoming addition the the game's already prominent roster during the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” grand finals. Frieza's brother seems to be bringing the pain as he shows Goku a beatdown in the announcement trailer.

The trailer for the new character was a welcome surprise, coming after the teaser trailer for the latest “Dragon Ball FighterZ” trailer for the latest DLC, basic Vegeta and basic Goku. Bandai Namco US's official Twitter page even marked the announcement with a hilarious tweet for fans of the fighting game.

While announcements have confirmed that Cooler is indeed coming, there has yet to be an official announcement when the Frieza race fighter will be added to the roster. Fans can expect Cooler to be playable after the Vegeta and Goku DLC release on Aug. 8. Regarding access to the new character, fans will have to wait for an announcement if Cooler will be packaged in a future DLC or will be available to players who already own the base game.

Either way, players who have already availed of the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC Season Pass will be sure to get their Cooler fix once the character is released.
