“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 203 will finally answer the one question fans have been asking since the recent manga installment dropped. It will finally be revealed if Tanjiro can resist being completely transformed into the new Demon King especially after being injected with Shinobu Kocho’s medicine.
In the recent “Demon Slayer” manga chapter, which can be read online on MangaPlus, Nezuko rushed to hug Tanjiro as the latter was about to attack Inosuke. As a result, Giyu, Zennitsu and Inosuke can only watch in horror as she was bitten by her brother because she was in the way.
Nezuko cried as she felt guilty for all the hardships Tanjiro had to go through just to turn her back into human. But the irony of it all is that just as she finally turned back into a human, it was now Tanjiro who is turning into a demon, thanks to Muzan injecting his blood and memories into Tanjiro before the demon died.
Inosuke, Zenitsu and Giyu fought Tanjiro for fear that he might hurt the now-human Nezuko. But their attacks only managed to anger Tanjiro who howled and sent a shockwave to the three. Shockingly, he also grew bone whips from his back similar to those of Muzan which probably indicates that he is becoming more of a demon as time passed by.
Nezuko tried her best to encourage Tanjiro to resist his demonic transformation. She told him not to give in to his demonic tendencies and begged him not to kill anyone.
Giyu suddenly realized that somewhere deep inside, Tanjiro is doing his best to fight his demonic urges. This is evident in the fact that he did not kill Nezuko.
Thankfully, Kanao has an extra vial of medicine with her, which was given by Shinobu Kocho. The medicine was made from the wisteria flower and was specifically formulated to revert a demon back into a human.
Kanao judged that since Tanjiro only recently started his demonic transformation, she will still be able to dodge his attacks. She performed Flower Breathing: Final Form – Equinoctial Vermilion Eye and rushed towards Tanjiro to inject the medicine. However, he will still able to injure her when Tanjiro redirected his attack to her torso.
The biggest question that “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 203 needs to answer is whether the medicine injected by Kanao is effective on Tanjiro or not. However, it appears that Tanjiro is on the verge of waking up after Kanao’s injected the drug.
Of course, it is still unclear if the medicine would be successful in treating Tanjiro. After all, Muzan basically chose Tanjiro as his successor as the Demon King, which probably meant it would be harder to reign in his demonic tendencies compared to regular demons.
Unfortunately, the “Demon Slayer” chapter 203 release date has been delayed. The manga is on a one-week hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak and will resume on April 27, 2020.
