“Daredevil Season 3” is here and the reviews are pouring in. While there may be some with reservations as to the quality of the new adventures of the blind hero, most provide a rather sparkly outlook. Basically, the show proves that it is still the best that Marvel Netflix has to offer, with the cast bringing their A-game to the fore. What’s more, the creators finally revealed the timeline of this new season relative to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In its review of “Daredevil Season 3,” Forbes declares that the new season is the show’s return to form, which is a much-needed ray of sunshine following the news that “Iron Fist” was canceled by Netflix. It is never a good sign when a series is canceled even after reviewers have agreed that it showed improvements. Then again, the fact that the martial arts program was the weakest of the Marvel bunch still could not be denied.
Coming back to “Daredevil Season 3,” the story follows Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox) coming back from the dead and returning to Hell’s Kitchen. Fans of the Netflix shared universe will remember that the blind lawyer who masquerades as a red vigilante at night supposedly died. In this matter, the season borrows from the 1986 comic arc titled “Born Again,” which is a favorite among fans.
Adding to the awesomeness that is “Daredevil Season 3,” showrunner Erik Oleson and Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb recently spoke to CNET and revealed that this season occurs before the infamous snap. This refers to the moment in “Avengers 4” when half of the population of the universe was killed off.
"This is a story that would take place before the snap," Loeb said. "It just is easier for us to be able to maintain our continuity."
“Daredevil Season 3” is available for viewing now on Netflix. Fans can enjoy all 13 episodes without interruption.
