Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are easily recognizable as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, respectively, thanks to the blockbuster hit of a movie series “Fifty Shades.” But after the final movie installment, where can fans see them next?
The movie saga based on the novel series of the same title penned by E.L. James definitely gave Johnson and Dornan major career boosts. Now, fans will have a list of new films and TV series where they can watch the actors in completely different roles.
From the shy Anastasia in “Fifty Shades,” Johnson takes on the role of a runaway criminal Emily Summerspring in the film “Bad Times at the El Royale." Fans will immediately get the impression that Emily is totally different from Anastasia — and Johnson has obviously pulled it off — just by watching one of the trailers. Chris Hemsworth will also star in the movie, which will be released this weekend.

Later this month, fans of Dakota Johnson will see her as a dance protégée who unknowingly becomes an instrument to a coven of witches in “Suspiria.” Jamie Dornan's former screen partner admitted how “terrified” she was in filming the dance sequence. The plot revolves around her character, Susie, who is described as a naturally talented dancer even without initial formal training.
Based on the synopsis of “Suspiria” found online, most of the critical scenes involve intense dance routines to depict a witchcraft ritual. To prepare for this, Johnson told Entertainment Weekly, “I trained on and off for about a year before we started filming, but I’m not a professional dancer. It was terrifying.”
Meanwhile, Dornan also has a lot going on for his career after “Fifty Shades” which allowed him to portray new roles a well. Next month, fans will see him as the outlaw leader Little John in the upcoming live-action film “Robin Hood.”

Jamie Dornan also takes on a lead role in the upcoming BBC miniseries “Death and Nightingales.” Fans will have to let go of the image of a modern CEO that introduced Dakota Johnson's Anastasia to a whole new world of pleasure in "Fifty Shades." Dornan’s Liam Ward on this TV show lives in a Northern Ireland countryside in 1885 and aids a young woman in escaping a very old-fashioned town and her stepfather. The network has yet to announce the series’s release date but it is expected to be out by later this year.
