CD Projekt Red has been ramping up the marketing campaign for “Cyberpunk 2077,” and it appears the developers have more to dish out in the coming days. On Aug. 30, the team will be revealing another gameplay demo through a live stream that will come from Warsaw.
It was initially planned that “Cyberpunk 2077” demo will be hosted by PAX West. But due to several logistical and creative reasons, the team is opting to pass on the Seattle conference.
Apart from the reveal, the developers will also be answering questions about “Cyberpunk 2077” ranging from creative decisions to details that have been injected into the title, TechRadar reported. There is already a lot of information that’s been revealed about the game.
Cyberpunk 2077’s map will be smaller but condensed
The most recent of which is the map size of “Cyberpunk 2077.” Producer Richard Borzymowski said that the game’s map would be a bit smaller than the “Witcher 3,” PCGamer reported.
This isn’t surprising since “Cyberpunk 2077” is set in a city, while “Witcher 3” was placed on sprawling rural areas broken here and there by small hamlets and busy villages. But where the latter stretches through the countryside, the former gets most of its area vertically.
Cyberpunk 2077 and the various districts in the game
It’s already been revealed that there will be multiple megastructures in “Cyberpunk 2077” that’s been filled with content. Night City is also divided into six districts. These districts are controlled by megacorporations and gangs that have varying influence in certain areas.
Watson is a place that’s heavy influenced by Asian culture and is plagued by rising crime rates. Westbrook is where the middle class resides. Haywood is an abandoned district that was once the hub of tech giants. And Pacifica will be the most dangerous district of “Cyberpunk 2077” where most of the gangs operate. Apart from these, there will also be the Badland areas that are located in the outskirts of Night City.
“Cyberpunk 2077” will be a dark game that will be challenging a player’s morality by having them choose a decision that will influence how the game ends. There are multiple ways to end the game, including the option to not kill anyone. As for when the title will hit the shelves, CD Projekt Red has slated its release date on April 16, 2020.
