Launched on May 24, Lisk is a blockchain application platform that offers JavaScript development tools to deploy sidechains and build decentralized applications on top of them. Last month, it revealed its development roadmap explaining the different phases that the platform will go through over the next few years.
Bitsquare is an open-source desktop application that allows users to buy and sell bitcoins in exchange for national currencies, or alternative cryptocurrencies. The platform launched in beta in April 2016 at Fab Lab Barcelona, after three months of extensive testing on the Bitcoin mainnet.
Besides Lisk and Bitcoin, Bitsquare currently supports Counterpart (XCP), DAO, Ether (ETH), Ether Classic (ETC), Litecoin (LTC), and Monero (XMR) among others.
