Cryptocurrency Brief: Bitcoin suffers after Google removes 3 crypto wallets from Play Store, altcoins follow suit – Friday, September 14th, 2018

BTC/USD: Bitcoin prices remained tad lower during evening session Friday, although managing to cross the $6,500 mark early in the day after a host of ups and downs through the week. The movement comes after search engine giant Google removed at least three major cryptocurrency wallets from its Playstore without any prior intimation. According to a report from Sludgefeed, CoPay, BitPay and Bitcoin Wallet, managed by Bitcoin.com, are the initial wallets that have been removed from the Play Store. At the time of writing, BTC/USD fell 0.31 percent to $6,469.00. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $6,300.00 and resistance at $6,700.00.

ETH/USD: Tracking Bitcoin prices, Ethereum also remained on the downside, mostly range-bound through the day as a slight tinge of pessimism seems to have entered the cryptocurrency market after Google decided to remove few apps from the Playstore without before-hand information. At the time of writing, ETH/USD lost 0.69 percent to $209.62; the day’s low was seen at $202.95 and high at $224.21. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $183.00 and resistance at $220.00.

XRP/USD: Ripple also suffered in a tight trading day, tracking slight bearish sentiments across the crypto globe, following a similar movement in its wider counterparts. At the time of writing, XRP/USD fell 0.55 percent to $0.27817. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $0.2500 and resistance at $0.3000.

BCH/USD: Bitcoin Cash, remained no different, following the footprints of its wider peers, eyeing the $500 psychological mark in a volatile week amid hints of pessimism. At the time of writing, BCH/USD plummeted nearly 2 percent to $454.30. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $430.00 and resistance at $480.00.

EOS/USD: The EOS, too went with the flow, giving up gains seen yesterday in a topsy-turvy scenario over the past few days. At the time of writing, EOS/USD slumped 2.51 percent to $5.2546. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $4.90 and resistance at $5.55.

LTC/USD: Litecoin remained no different than other altcoins, losing ground, after having recovered on Wednesday, post a slew of hassles that kept the price lower. At the time of writing, LTC/USD fell 1 percent to $53.866. Meanwhile, the near-term support is seen at $47.00 and resistance at $58.00.
