Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that UNIDO’s Goodwill Ambassador Helen Hai is joining as the head of Binance Charity Foundation.
"Helen is a true believer in the Foundation's mandate: Blockchain for social good. Blockchain can make charity transparent, hence using technology and innovation to support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals," Binance said.

Hai is the current United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Goodwill Ambassador for industrialization in Africa. She is also Young Global Leader and Co-Chair at Global Future Council on the Future of Consumption, World Economic Forum.

Binance has announced a number of blockchain and cryptocurrency-focused initiatives this year. This includes its proprietary blockchain platform ‘Binance Chain’; Binance Labs, a blockchain technology incubator; Binance Info, its Codex; and a $1 billion investment fund, among others.
Recently, the exchange announced $1 million donation to relief efforts in flood-hit Japan.
