‘Classroom of the Elite’ season 2: Anime is expected to be renewed for these reasons

Classroom of the Elite

Fans have been waiting for “Classroom of the Elite” season 2. The anime was launched in 2017 and was aired from July to September of that year. This means that everyone has been waiting for more than two years already, so there is really a big question if it will be returning or not.

“Classroom of the Elite” is about a group of students who were enrolled in a Japanese government-owned school called the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School. The aim of the institution is to raise a new generation of people who will govern the country in the future.

Kids are sent to the school, and they live there starting at a young age. Unlike in the traditional homes where the parents are usually strict, the students enjoy a high level of freedom so they can easily learn to live independently. Further, the students are shaped to become the kind of person who the Japanese government thinks how a great leader should be.

The protagonist

“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 will still feature the protagonist named Kiyotaka Ayanokouji. As per Fandom, he is a first-year student at the Advanced Nurturing High School. Because he only manages to score just 50 points in all of his subjects, he was placed in the D-Class, the lowest section in the school. He sits next to Suzune Horikita in the classroom, and they became friends. Suzune believes that

Kiyotaka should be in the higher class section because she finds him smart and really bright. For her, Kiyotaka was not just given an opportunity to show what he can do because, overall, he is a shy kid who does not want to bother others.

Will it be renewed?

Fans should not worry because “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is happening. There were cancellation reports due to the time gap that the anime is gone, but there are many indications that point to its return.

Firstly, the manga version concluded with 10 volumes, and out of these materials, only three were used to produce “Classroom of the Elite” season 1. This means that there are still many volumes that can be converted to anime for the second season.

Also, even if the produce “Classroom of the Elite” season 2, there will still be enough materials to make at least 24 more episodes to continue Kiyotaka’s story and his special school. All in all, the manga version can make three seasons for the anime version since each installment features 12 episodes.

“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is predicted to return in 2020 or 2021, as per Akanagi.
