Halloween is right around the corner, and Supercell is prepared to let mobile gamers celebrate the season with new content on “Clash Royale” season 4. The entire season follows the Halloween theme, especially with the new arena and a new card anticipated to go live next week.

Clash Royale’ season 4 release date, contents: What to expect

Supercell revealed the patch notes for the “Clash Royale” September update on Monday. But those who are looking forward to learning more about the upcoming season would want to jump right into the very last item on the list. It is where the developers officially announced that Season 4 is going to be all about Halloween.

The “Clash Royale” seasonal update is appropriately named “Shocktober” just like it did in the previous years. Supercell emphasized on the upcoming new card and arena designed to bring the spooky Halloween ambiance to the online multiplayer battle game.

A few days later, developers unveiled a teaser revealing that the new card is named the Elixir Golem and would look like a purple giant and slimy monster with an over-the-top bad temper. The upcoming “Clash Royale” Halloween-themed arena is also briefly shown in the trailer that appears to be filled with jack-o’-lanterns and canals of glowing purple elixir.

Specific features of the Elixir Golem and the new arena should be announced upon the release of “Clash Royale” season 4 updates on Monday, Oct. 7. Supercell also promises that more updates and “other spooky goodness” are lined up for the Halloween season.

Clash Royale’ September update: What are the major gameplay changes this week

Developers closed the month of September with a list of important updates on “Clash Royale.” Players who are just noticing that the 2v2 button has disappeared should not worry. Supercell just decided to change into the Party button where the 2v2 and other modes can be accessed. Note, though, that the game modes available through the Party button change on rotation every 48 hours.

Speaking of game modes, the “Clash Royale” September update also introduces the Triple Draft gameplay. It gives players more control in the sense that they get to choose the eight cards to be used in a battle. This new game mode can be accessed through Friendly Battles.
